Yo!Stretch

A combination of dance and yoga; rhythmic and static stretching; movement through musicality; “rise and fall;” bringing awareness to the body, mind, soul through breath; mobility, and strength.

Zumba with Angela

A high-energy fitness class that combines everything Zumba from Latin to Hip Hop sounds. Get a complete workout while enjoying a dance party atmosphere. Some explicit music may be played during class.

Beat Barre

Ballet-inspired barre and pilates exercises set to fun hip-hop and pop music, done with exercise or yoga mat and loop bands.

Werq

A fiercely fun dance + fitness class that uses the latest hip-hop and pop music and moves. Some explicit music may be played during class.

216 Cardio

Spice up your cardiovascular aerobic activity in the 216 with Strength Balance + Firm, hip-hop, and intervals. Some explicit music may be played during class.

Hip-Hop

Street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music that evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking created in the 1970s and made popular by US dance crews. Some explicit music may be played during class.

HIIT

High-Intensity Interval Training is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue.

Yoga

Deepen your practice, engage your physicality, open your energy centers & step into the infinite present moment. Class incorporates a range of yogic styles drawing heavily from Shivananda and Power Vinyasa.

Creative Movement

A class where your mover ages 3-6 gets to explore movements in ballet, jazz, imagination, and free play.

Breakin’

Children and adults, ages 6 and older will be introduced to one of the first original dances of Hip-Hop culture, Breakin’. Foundational movements, ability to freestyle, and musicality will be taught to the students to make sure they know how to rock and get down at any party. All skill levels welcome!

Jazz

A performance dance technique and style. Jazz dance may refer to vernacular jazz, Broadway, or theatrical jazz. All genres build on African-American vernacular styles of dancing that emerged with jazz music.

Ballet

In the 6-8 year old ballet class we focus on ballet fundamentals.  The students will learn the French terminology for basic ballet movements and will grow accustomed to the classical structure of ballet class—dancing at barre, center and across the floor. Dancers at this age will also practice improvising to classical music with a focus on their qualities of movement.In intermediate ballet (9-13) students will build upon these fundamentals.  We will continue to focus on ballet technique at barre and center while also incorporating artistic expression and self-confidence. At this level, the dancers are introduced to more complex combinations, challenging them to apply themselves mentally as well as physically.

Modern/Contemporary

This class consists of a blend of modern technique and somatic work to prepare the body and mind for dynamic choreographed movement phrases. Participants will use imagery and breath to influence movement and self-awareness in a structured warm-up leading to the use of energy and momentum in choreography with opportunities for improvisation and risk taking. Participants can expect floor work as well as standing and traveling phrases. As a facilitator, Melissa aims to foster a sense of community, support, and collaboration in movement, offering opportunities to explore while honing individual skills. This class is intended for intermediate to advanced dancers, but movers of all levels of experience are welcome
